Richard Emmett
Was born on the 25th May 1971 in Sheffield. On leaving school he attended art college where he trained as a Graphic Designer. Richard
worked in design for a large computer corporation before
recently taking the bold step to become a full-time contemporary artist.
His art is mainly
based on the love of music and the family. Richard's style comes from a strong tradition in design. His main influences are the graphic artists from the 1930's and the Art Deco or 'Jazz Moderne' posters of the times. Other Admired artists are Andy Warhol, Makenzie Thorpe, and Richard
Coombes.
